Spotts Fain Welcomes Robbie Westermann

Spotts Fain is proud to welcome Robbie Westermann to the firm's Creditors' Rights and Bankruptcy section.
Robbie’s practice focuses on bankruptcy law, creditors’ and debtors’ rights, and general commercial litigation. Robbie represents Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 debtors, trustees, liquidating trustees, plan administrators, and other key stakeholders in many different industries and specialties, including health care, retail, real estate, coal, construction, and manufacturing. He is well-respected for his expertise in the law and has been recognized by Chambers USA, Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers, Virginia Business Legal Elite, and other prestigious organizations. He has served on the ASK Childhood Cancer Foundation (ASK) Board of Directors beginning in 2018, and served as the Board Chair 2023-2025.
Upon graduating from law school at Washington and Lee University, Robbie served as a law clerk to the Honorable Blackwell N. Shelley of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Eastern District of Virginia, Richmond Division. Before joining Spotts Fain in 2025, he was a partner at Hirschler and Hunton Andrews Kurth.
