SCC Alert: Businesses Beware

Posted on by Stephen G. Reardon

Virginia businesses should be aware that official looking forms sent by an entity calling itself "Virginia Council for Corporations" is the subject of an alert from the State Corporation Commission. The form is a solicitation and is not an official state document. We advise our clients to discard this communication. According to the SCC, an entity calling itself "Corporate Records Service" made similar solicitations from the same address last year. If you have questions about the form, contact the State Corporation Commission or an attorney at Spotts Fain PC.
