Jennifer Jo West
Jen West focuses her practice on creditors' rights, commercial litigation, insolvency and bankruptcy. In her practice, she represents primarily banks and other lending institutions, with a focus on community banks, in connection with restructuring, workouts, litigation, debtor/creditor collections and foreclosures. Representative clients include large national lending institutions, community banks, landlords and private individuals.
Additionally, Jen dedicates a significant portion of her practice to bankruptcy, representing creditors in Chapter 11, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 proceedings involving primarily commercial debtors along with some consumer matters. She also has experience representing Chapter 7 Trustees in bankruptcy proceedings for the purpose of recovering assets of debtors for the benefit of creditors through the recovery of fraudulent conveyances, avoidance actions and liquidation of various types of property.
Jen earned her B.A., cum laude in Political Science and Sociology from Virginia Tech in 1996. In 2001, she earned her J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary.
