Products Liability, Toxic Torts & Personal Injury

Our Products Liability and Toxic Torts group is led by Henry N. Ware, Jr.  We have successfully represented product manufacturers, sellers and suppliers, ranging from small companies to large, multinational corporations. We have defended our clients in cases involving personal injury, wrongful death, premises liability and property damage in state and federal courts throughout the United States.  We also serve as local counsel in Virginia federal courts and Virginia state courts.

We have developed comprehensive strategies for handling large numbers of complex cases such as mass multi-jurisdictional toxic tort litigation.  Mr. Ware has served as national coordinating, regional and local trial and appellate counsel for clients in mass tort litigation.

Among the products we have defended are:

  • Consumer products
  • Pharmaceuticals
  • Water heaters
  • Industrial equipment such as cranes
  • Marine and land based turbines
  • Turbine generators and associated equipment such as pumps
  • Farm equipment
  • Industrial laminates
  • Wallboard
  • Switchgear
  • Brakes and gaskets
  • Building materials
  • Rail car components
  • Electrical products, such as motors and wire
  • Factory equipment such as bakery machinery

In addition, we have experience handling cases involving allegedly toxic substances such as:

  • Asbestos
  • PCBs
  • Solvents

We also advise and represent clients on issues regarding insurance, indemnity, successor liability, and coordination of discovery.
