January 2006 - The Virginia Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation honored Spotts Fain Shareholder and Director, John W. Anderson at their Crystal Ball, held at the Jefferson Hotel in Richmond on Saturday, January 21, 2006. John was presented with the 2006 W. Robert Irby, MD Award for Volunteer Leadership. We are proud of John and his generous and enthusiastic support of the Arthritis Foundation and many other local organizations.

The Arthritis Foundation is pleased to present the fifth annual W. Robert Irby, MD Award to John W. Anderson for his outstanding leadership and commitment to the Richmond Community, as well as the Arthritis Foundation, Virginia Chapter. Mr. Anderson, who has practiced law in Richmond for 28 years, is a shareholder, officer and director at Spotts Fain PC. His practice centers on commercial real estate and business law. As an active Arthritis Foundation volunteer for nearly 20 years, Mr. Anderson serves on the chapter's Board of Directors, has chaired the Annual Giving Campaign, and has served as a captain for many events including the Commitment to a Cure breakfast and the Arthritis Walk.
In addition to the countless hours of service to the Arthritis Foundation, Mr. Anderson stays active with many other organizations and activities. These include serving as legal counsel for the West Richmond Businessmen's Association, serving on the Richmond Advisory Board of First Community Bank, and as a past committee volunteer with the Boy Scouts of America. John and his wife of 25 years, Diane, have three children - Nathan, Emily and Claire.
