Kristen Spain currently serves as a Government Affairs Specialist at Spotts Fain Consulting L.C. Her areas of expertise include transportation, public-private partnerships, and commerce and trade. Since joining Spotts Fain Consulting in 2007, Kristen has taken on assignments for clients including monitoring legislation, bill tracking, conducting research, and event coordination. She has experience lobbying the Virginia General Assembly and also works closely with the Virginia Attorney General's Office.

Kristen graduated Cum Laude from the University of Richmond (UR) where she majored in rhetoric and communication studies and received a minor in journalism. At UR, she served as a reporter for The Collegian, the University's newspaper and she was a member of several academic honor societies.

Prior to joining Spotts Fain Consulting, Kristen gained work experience at Partnership for the Future where she mentored and taught classes to underprivileged high school students. She also coached field hockey at St. Michael's Episcopal School in Richmond and volunteered on a gubernatorial campaign in Virginia.
