Meade A. Spotts is President of Spotts Fain PC, a Virginia law firm focused on advising, counseling and representing businesses in transactional and litigation matters since 1988.
Meade earned his B.A. in History, with distinction, from the Virginia Military Institute in 1979. He earned his J.D. from the Marshall-Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary in 1982. First commissioned in 1979, he is a graduate of the U. S. Army Command and General Staff Course and is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Reserve.
Meade's practice emphasizes real estate and environmental issues, legislative representation and lobbying, general corporate and business law. He represents his clients' interests before the Virginia General Assembly, local and state boards, planning commissions and agencies. He is a member of the Richmond Bar Association and the Virginia State Bar and is also a member of the Real Estate and Environmental Law Sections of these organizations. He is a member of the Board of Directors of C&F Bank - Richmond, is a Commissioner of the Port of Richmond Authority, is current Director and past Chairman of the Wildlife Foundation of Virginia and has recently been appointed to the Board of the Veterans Services Foundation. Meade has been named in the business law, real estate and lobbying and regulatory categories of the Legal Elite list published annually by Virginia Business Magazine.
His off-duty time likewise covers much of the state. Meade lives on the James River in Richmond with his wife and four children, and spends free time either hunting with friends on his farm in Southwest Virginia or enjoying the Chesapeake Bay with family in Deltaville. He enjoys hunting, military history, farming and traveling.
