James Barbour Olmsted

James Olmsted received his B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of Virginia in 2003. He received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Richmond, T. C. Williams School of Law in 2007 and was admitted to practice in Virginia in 2007.  He was law clerk for the Honorable Judges Balfour, Hammond, Harris, Hicks and Miller of the Henrico County Circuit Court from 2007-2008.

James is a member of the Creditors' Rights section of the firm, representing creditors in collections and bankruptcy matters.

Before he embarked on his legal career, James managed the rotational grazing program on his family's 1,100 acre beef cattle farm.  He was also an environmental specialist with EarthSource Solutions, Inc., preparing legal documents to obtain government approval for wetland sites and monitoring and supervising wetland creation and restoration.
