Bryan G. Scott

Bryan Scott is an associate in the litigation section of the firm. His practice focuses on commercial and business litigation, with particular emphasis in the areas of construction law, insurance coverage, contract disputes, business torts, intellectual property, and shareholder and partnership disputes. Bryan also has significant experience litigating personal injury, property damage and premises liability claims on behalf of both plaintiffs and defendants. He has successfully tried jury and bench trials and has obtained favorable results for clients before the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, the North Carolina Supreme Court and Court of Appeals and in Virginia and North Carolina federal and state trial courts.

Bryan received his J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law, where he served on the Moot Court Board Executive Council and National Sports Law Team. He earned his B.A. in English magna cum laude from Appalachian State University. Before attending law school, Bryan worked as a licensed private investigator associate in North Carolina.

Bryan is admitted to practice in both Virginia and North Carolina and is actively involved as a member of the Virginia Bar Association, Bar Association of the City of Richmond and the North Carolina Bar Association. He is a past president of the Appalachian State Richmond Alumni Chapter and a member of the John Marshall Inn of Court. He also actively volunteers his time to assist law students as a mentor, coach, and judge for moot court and trial teams at the University of Richmond School of Law.
